Sun pendant through a beach fortnight

This came on a two-week trip and stayed on the entire time, including daily sea swims and the hotel pool. The sun pendant still has the same bright finish it arrived with, no dull patches and no spotting where the water sat. The warm citrine-toned beads have not faded in the sun either, which was my real worry. I rinsed it under a fresh tap each evening and that was the whole routine. Back home it goes in the shower with me most mornings. Four months in and both strands look exactly as they did new.

Layered chains without the neck rash

I normally get itchy and red within a couple of hours from anything sitting on my chest, and layered pieces are worse because there is twice as much metal. This has been on since April with no reaction at all. No redness under the strands, nothing at the clasp, no irritation even in hot weather when I sweat through the day. I have slept in it plenty of nights with no soreness in the morning. The strands lie flat so nothing pinches. It is the first layered necklace I have been able to just leave on.

Both strands still the same gold

Layered pieces usually give themselves away when the shorter strand ages faster than the longer one, and after four months these are still identical in tone. The chain at the back of my neck, which normally goes dark first from sweat and hair products, is as bright as the front. I spray perfume straight onto my collarbones without thinking.
