Starlight Ring

I have owned a lot of gold-tone rings and they all eventually go coppery at the band. This one has stayed the same warm gold since the day it arrived in late February. I wear it while I cook, while I clean, while I garden, and through the shower every night. Hand soap and dish soap have done absolutely nothing to it. The engraved star still has crisp shadow lines instead of that mushy worn look. Genuinely the first plated ring I have not had to retire.

I react to almost everything metal. Anything with nickel gives me a red itchy band within a day, and I had basically written off rings entirely. I ordered this one expecting to return it and instead I have worn it every single day since March with zero irritation. No redness under the band, no itching, nothing green on my finger even after sweating through summer. My skin does not react at all, which is not something I can say about jewelry that costs four times this. I finally get to wear a proper statement ring again.

I bought this before a two-week trip to the Gulf and decided to just leave it on the entire time and see what happened. Salt water every single day, sunscreen, sand, outdoor showers at the beach house. It came home with the exact same shine it went out with. The star face is still bright and the engraved side has zero cloudiness or water spotting. My old plated rings would have gone patchy in three days. This one genuinely does not care about water, and that alone made it worth the price.

Genuinely elegant ring and the gold tone is lovely. The engraved word is more understated than the photos suggested — you have to be close to read it, which I'd have liked a touch bolder.

The star is chunky enough to actually be seen from across a table, which I love. What surprised me is how well it wears. Four months in, no dulling anywhere.

Online the finish looks like a cooler yellow and in person it is noticeably warmer. I ended up preferring it, but wanted to flag it for anyone matching this to other pieces. Still a lovely ring for the money.
