Spiral Ring

I have a habit of buying gold-toned rings and then watching them turn dull and slightly pink around month two, at which point they go in a drawer. This one has now outlasted every single one of them. I wear it every day, including through showers, dishwashing and a very sweaty commute. Under a bright kitchen light the metal is still the same warm even gold it was in February, with no coppery tone bleeding through and no dark film anywhere along the curve. I have never used a polishing cloth on it. Genuinely the first one I have not had to retire.

This was the only ring I packed for ten days in the islands and it never came off once. Sea swimming twice a day, boat spray, sunscreen, the lot. What I expected was the usual dulling on the curved teardrop tip where water beads and sits, since that has ruined pieces for me before. Instead it came home with the exact same mirror shine it had on the plane out. No cloudiness, no rough spots, no color shift anywhere along the band. I rinsed it in the sink each evening and that was genuinely the whole routine.

I react to almost every ring within a day, usually with a red itchy band that takes a week to settle. I put this one on in March fully braced for it and nothing happened at all. Because the design wraps and overlaps, there is more metal touching my skin than a plain band, so I was certain it would be worse rather than better. It has been on through gym sessions, sleep and a lot of hot weather since, and the skin underneath is completely normal. No itch, no redness, not even the mild dryness I get from titanium. I have worn it for weeks at a stretch without taking it off.

Everything else rotates but this stays on. It suits every outfit and never looks wrong for the occasion. That is the highest compliment I can give a piece.

The single size works for me after a squeeze, but a small and large option would remove the guesswork. Comfort of the band itself is excellent.

Being a fixed size I worried it would stretch loose or pinch over time. Neither happened. It fits precisely as it did the first day.
