Gold spike has not darkened once

I put these in at the end of February and they have essentially not come out. That is showers, sunscreen, perfume, sweat and a lot of hand cream. There is no darkening at the hinge and no dull ring on the back of the hoop where it touches skin. The spike is the part I expected to go first because it moves and rubs, and it is still bright. I compared them against a photo I took the first week and I cannot see a difference. The plating on these is a different level.

Metal allergy, zero problems here

I react to almost every earring that is not implant-grade titanium, usually with swelling by the second day. I have worn these nonstop since April with nothing at all. They hug the lobe so tightly that I sleep in them and never feel the spike against my neck. No redness, no itching, no fluid, even through sweaty workouts. Spikes went through a swim season

I coach swimming so I am in and out of a chlorinated pool five days a week, and these have been in my ears for all of it since March. The pave spike is still fully sparkling with no cloudy film in the setting. The hoop itself has not dulled where the water sits. Every other pair I have tried this with went patchy within a month and I stopped bothering. I rinse them with fresh water at the end of the day and that is it. Four months and they still look like new stock.
