Riviere Heart Bracelet

This bracelet has been in chlorinated water at least four times a week since May and I have never once taken it off first. We have a pool and I am in it with my kids every afternoon, then it goes straight into the shower with me. Add two weeks in Florida where it was in the ocean daily and covered in sunscreen the rest of the time. The place I expected damage was the back of each heart setting, since water pools there and turns the stones gray on cheaper bracelets. I looked at it closely under a bright light last night and every heart is still crystal clear from both sides. There is no residue in the settings and no dulling on the gold between them.

I have not been able to wear a bracelet in about seven years without ending up with a raw itchy band around my wrist. Nickel is the culprit according to my allergist and it is in almost every affordable piece of jewelry. My daughter gave me this for my birthday and I put it on expecting to take it off within an hour out of politeness. It has been on my wrist nearly every day since March, through workouts, showers, gardening, and long humid afternoons where the metal sat against damp skin. My wrist has stayed perfectly clear the entire time with no itching or redness whatsoever. It genuinely changed what I thought I could wear.

I have bought and thrown away at least five gold tone tennis bracelets because they all turn that awful pinkish copper color after a couple of months. It always starts near the clasp where you handle it most and then works its way along. This one has been on my wrist nearly every day since February and there is no color shift anywhere on it. That includes daily hand washing, hand sanitizer at work, perfume, hairspray, and a very humid spring here in Charleston. I put it side by side with the bracelet my mother bought at the same time and hers is the same shade as mine, and she keeps hers for special occasions only. Whatever they are doing with this plating is on another level for the price.

Worn just under the watch it catches light every time I check the time. It is a tiny bit of joy in an ordinary gesture. I did not expect a bracelet to do that.

It wears beautifully and lies perfectly flat on my wrist. The shipping was just slower than I hoped.

The sparkle and the heart cuts are gorgeous and I get compliments constantly. It sits quite close on my wrist, so a slightly longer version would have been perfect for me.
