Nahia Ring

I bought this in size seven and it has not left my hand since, including in the sea. We were on the coast for three weeks and I swam with it every day, then rinsed it under the outdoor tap with the rest of me. There is no water staining in the gap between the two arcs, which is exactly where I expected trouble to start. It has also been through countless showers and a hot tub week at my sister's. The gold is still even and glossy right across both curves with no spotting anywhere. I have completely stopped treating it as something that needs protecting.

Anything that covers this much of my finger has always left me with an itchy red band by lunchtime, so I ordered it expecting to give it away. Instead I have worn it almost every day since spring and my skin has stayed completely clear. No itching, no redness, no dark mark underneath, even during a heatwave when my hands swelled and it sat tighter than usual. The inside is smooth and gently rounded which makes it comfortable to wear through a full working day. I have even fallen asleep in it several times without any reaction the next morning. My daughter has the same skin trouble and has since ordered one.

The two curves rub past each other constantly as the ring shifts on my finger, and that is normally where plating wears through and you start seeing pale metal underneath. Nothing of the sort here after five months of daily wear. Both arcs are the same warm gold as the day they arrived, top and bottom, inside and out. The narrow gap between them has stayed clean and gold rather than going dark the way tight spaces usually do. I wear it alongside two other rings that knock into it all day and there is not a single dull patch. It genuinely looks unworn.

The shape is beautiful and there are no comfort issues at all. I did have to guess between sizes with no width guidance for a band this style. Landed well, but a note would have helped.

The ring arrived looking exactly as pictured and I am very happy with it. The wait was longer than I expected, so order early if it is meant to be a present. Nothing wrong with the piece.

I live somewhere permanently damp and salty and jewelry tends to go dull fast. This has been on daily since spring and the gold is still even everywhere.
