Mira Ring

My hands react to almost every ring I own, usually within an afternoon, so a piece with this much metal touching my finger felt like a gamble. It has been on daily since spring and the skin underneath is completely clear. No itching, no redness, no green mark, even on hot days when my fingers swell a little. The inside of the band is properly rounded rather than sharp, which I think makes a real difference to comfort. I have worn it through long work days, through gardening, and while sleeping more than once by accident. It is the first statement ring I have owned that I never have to think about.

I wear this every single day and I stopped taking it off for water within about a week. It has been through constant hand washing at work, a very wet spring where I was caught out without an umbrella more than once, and daily dish duty at home. The gold petals still have their soft glow and there is no water staining where the petals meet the band. I rinse it under the tap and pat it dry and it looks brand new again. The pearl is still sitting perfectly tight in its setting with no looseness or rattle. For something this sculptural I expected to be babying it, and I am not.

Four months in and the three petals are still exactly the same warm gold they were in the box, including the undersides and the tight spots where they curve into the band. Those inner corners are always where my plated jewelry goes dark first and there is nothing there. The band itself gets constant rotation on my finger and has not worn a dull stripe anywhere. I compared it recently against a photo I took the day it arrived and I genuinely cannot see a difference. No brassy edges, no dark shadows in the crevices, no flaking around the pearl setting. It has aged better than rings I paid three times more for.

Heat, humidity, sun cream and a lot of swimming pool edges. It came back looking exactly the same as it went. Nothing loosened and nothing dulled.

Really beautiful piece and the pearl is lovelier than the photos show. It does stand up quite high, so it is not the ring I wear with gloves.

Comfortable on me and the flower is even prettier in person. Since there is only the seven, I did hold my breath opening it. Fine for my finger, but I would love a smaller option for gifting.
