Marguerite Ring

I wore this every day of a two-week beach holiday and never took it off, not for swimming and not for showering. Salt water, pool chlorine and a lot of sunscreen rubbed straight over it. The crystal flower is still completely clear with no cloudy film around the setting, and the quilted texture on the band has not dulled in the grooves where water sits. That detailing was exactly where I expected it to go wrong. Since coming home it has stayed on through washing up every night. Four months and it still looks brand new.

Wide rings are usually a problem for me because the metal sits against so much skin and traps moisture. This has been on since March with no reaction whatsoever. No redness, no itching, no dry patches underneath, even in hot weather and after long sweaty gym sessions. I sleep in it every night without noticing it. The edges of the band are smooth so nothing rubs against my other fingers either. It is the only wide ring I have been able to wear continuously.

The inside of a ring is where plating always dies on me, usually going dark or coppery within a month. Four months of wearing this every single day and the underside is as bright as the top. I wash my hands constantly at work and use sanitizer several times a shift. There is no darkening, no dull patches in the quilting and no color change around the flower setting. My skin underneath is completely clean too. I have never had a plated ring last past six weeks before this one.

The flower and the quilting look wonderful and I get comments every week. My usual size arrived a little roomier than I expected, so it moves a bit on my finger. Sizing down would have been perfect.

The ring is exactly as pictured and I'm very happy with it now that it's here. It just took longer than I expected and I'd bought it for a specific dinner. Order early and you'll be fine.

Left it on overnight and there was no dent or soreness in the morning. The inner edges are properly smoothed. Rare in a band this wide.
