Lucia Necklace

I bought this in the middle of February and have worn it more days than not ever since, so this is a real five-month report. The curb chain is still uniformly bright, no dark film between the links and no black buildup at the clasp, which is where every previous necklace of mine died. The dangling stones are all still attached and still throw sparkle in sunlight. I've worn it through workouts, perfume, sunscreen season, and one entire music festival. It has never once been polished or cleaned beyond a rinse. Compare that to the chain I bought online last year that turned copper in six weeks. There is no comparison.

We did a girls' trip to the Colorado hot springs and I forgot I was even wearing this necklace until day two. The little stones swing independently from the chain and catch light constantly. It's such a graceful effect, like wearing tiny droplets of light. I've never owned a necklace that gets noticed this much.

The way the stones swing when you walk is the whole point, and they've kept their fire since early May. I've done exactly nothing to maintain it. Sweat, showers, sunscreen, it shrugs everything off.
