Latte Earrings

I am fussy about gold-tone jewelry because it almost always turns on me, usually starting at the post and creeping outward within weeks. These have been in my ears nearly every day since the middle of February and the gold has not shifted tone anywhere. Not on the posts, not on the backs, not in the tight seam where the gold ring meets the stone. I wear perfume and use hairspray every morning and neither has left a trace. The brown center still has that rich espresso warmth. Five months and they still look like they came out of the box yesterday.

I swim three mornings a week and had honestly assumed a stone this warm and rich would go cloudy in chlorinated water. I left them in on purpose to find out. Four months of laps later the latte color is exactly as deep as it was and the gold rings around each cushion have not dulled or spotted at all. Rinsed off, dried, straight back into the day. I also wore them through a rainy vacation and hot showers every night with the same result. Water genuinely has no effect on them.

I have a documented nickel allergy and studs are the worst for me because the post sits right in the piercing all day. Most pairs give me a sore, weeping ear within hours. I ordered these fully expecting to send them back and instead they have been in nonstop since early March. Zero irritation, zero swelling, no itching even after long sweaty summer days. I have slept in them dozens of times and my ears stay completely calm. These are the only stone studs I can actually live in.

Not a millimetre of movement in either cushion after five months. Nothing has come loose in the setting despite daily wear.

The backs come off with a light pull rather than a struggle, which my arthritic fingers appreciate. Getting them in is just as simple.

The stone colour and gold framing are lovely, no complaints there. They do sit bigger on my ear than the listing photos led me to expect, so they're an outfit choice rather than an everyday stud for me.
