knots went in the lake
This has been on my wrist for every swim at the lake house since June, plus a fortnight of daily showers before that. I fully expected water to collect in the knot detail and leave marks. It has not happened once. I rinse it off and pat it dry and it looks exactly as it did new. Even the tight little curves of the knots are still bright inside. Water has turned out to be completely irrelevant to this bangle.

adjustable cuff, no skin reaction
Because this one is adjustable I ended up wearing it snugger than I normally would, which is usually a guarantee of irritation for me. Four months on my skin has been completely calm underneath it. Even in high summer, with a damp wrist under it all day, there has been no redness and no itching. The wires are smoothly finished so nothing catches or presses in at the knots. I have started leaving it on overnight and still nothing.

knot detail never went dull
Detailed shapes like this are usually where darkening starts, right in the recesses where a cloth cannot reach. Five months of daily wear later there is not a dark spot anywhere in either knot. The rest of the band is the same warm gold it was in February, front and back. I wear it through housework, hand washing and a lot of rain. Nothing has managed to take the shine off it yet.
