Dalia Ring

I bought this before a two-week trip to the coast and honestly treated it like a test. It went in the ocean every single day, then straight into an outdoor shower with sandy hands, then into the hotel pool at night. I never dried it, never took it off, never thought about it once. Five months later the sculptural curve still catches light exactly the way it did in the product photos. Water is simply not a factor with this ring, which is the whole reason I keep reaching for it over my nicer pieces.

I am hard on jewelry and I fully expected this to go dull by spring. It has not. I have worn it through hand sanitizer at work, hairspray every morning, lotion, and a lot of hot showers, and the gold has not darkened a shade. The narrow end of the wrap is usually where plating wears through on rings like this, and I check it constantly out of habit, but it is still perfectly even. No dark line where the two ends pass each other. After five months of nonstop wear it still looks like new stock, and that is the part that convinced me to order two more pieces from here.

I react to almost everything. Costume rings give me a red itchy band within an hour and even some fine jewelry bothers me if it is not solid gold. I ordered this expecting to gift it away after one wear. Instead it has been on my hand daily since late February with no itching, no rash, and no red ring underneath when I take it off at night. I have showered in it, slept in it, and worn it through summer heat when my skin is at its worst, and nothing. The smooth organic shape helps too since there are no rough seams sitting against my skin. This is the only ring in my drawer I never have to think twice about.

Hot yoga three times a week since March. Sweat pours off me and the ring comes out looking the same. No cloudiness, no rough patches where it rubs my other fingers.

The ring itself is gorgeous and the shine is everything I hoped for. Only note is that the packaging is very plain, so I moved it into a nicer box before gifting a second one.

Every other piece I own ends up in a dish by the sink. This one has stayed on my hand for months because I simply never feel it.
