Comet Chain Earrings

Four months of daily wear and the star has not lost a bit of its shine. I wear the silver and silver-tone plating is usually the first thing to go grey on me. These have been through showers, hand sanitizer, hairspray and a lot of sweat with no dullness at all. The little chain still has the same finish as the stud, which surprised me because on cheaper pairs the chain always ages faster than the front. Nothing has gone dark behind the ear either. I ordered the gold pair last week because these earned it.

I got the gold pair in March and they have been in the pool with me at least three times a week since. Chlorine has done absolutely nothing to the chain or the star. I braced myself for the little links to go dull first because that is always what happens, and they are still bright all the way around the drape. Salt water on vacation did not change anything either. I rinse them under the tap with everything else and that is the entire maintenance routine. Genuinely the first chain earring I have owned that did not need babying.

I have not been able to wear anything but titanium studs for years without my lobes swelling. I bought these expecting to return them and instead I have worn them almost every day since February. No itching, no soreness, no fluid, even after sleeping in them. The chain rests on the lobe and does not irritate the skin there either, which was my other concern. Both piercings look healthier than they have in a long time. Being able to wear a real chain earring again is a big deal for me.

I sweat a lot at work and silver-tone jewelry usually goes grey on me within weeks. These have held their color since March with zero polishing. Still looks like the day it arrived.

The chains catch the light exactly as I hoped and it looks lovely on. I did not read carefully and only realized after ordering that it comes as one earring. Went back for a second, but worth a heads up.

Every so often the three strands cross over each other and I give them a shake before heading out. Takes two seconds and they hang fine again. Minor fuss for how good it looks.
