I wore these huggies for a full week in Cabo and never once took them out. They went in the ocean, in the pool, in the outdoor shower, and straight to dinner afterward. The pink stone is what worried me most because glued stones usually loosen or cloud in salt water. It is still seated perfectly and just as clear as the day it arrived. The gold has not changed shade at all and the hinge still snaps shut the same way it did new. I have already put them back in the water half a dozen times since we got home.

I have reacted to every hoop I have ever bought, usually within two days, with swelling and that awful weeping around the piercing. My doctor told me to stick to surgical steel and I mostly gave up on gold looking pieces. I put these in expecting the worst and left them in for a full week as a test. Nothing at all happened, not even the mild itch I get from the good pairs. Three months later I sleep in them, shower in them, and work out in them with completely calm lobes. Honestly the first pink stone hoops I have owned that my ears tolerate.

The place gold plated huggies always fail for me is the hinge, where sweat gets trapped and the plating wears from opening and closing. That is exactly why I am writing this. I have had these in since February and I opened them up under a bright lamp last night to inspect the joint. There is no darkening, no exposed grey metal, and no dullness on the inside of the band where it sits against my lobe. They have been through daily workouts, showers, dry shampoo, and a lot of perfume without a single tarnish spot. The pink stone still has its shine as well.

The hoop is slim enough to work in my second piercing without crowding the first. Comfortable in both. Ended up buying a pair for each ear position.

I ordered with what I thought was plenty of margin and they landed two days after the dinner I bought them for. They are lovely and I have worn them plenty since. Just do not cut it close on timing.

Ten days at the shore, in and out of salt water constantly. The pink stone is as clear as it was in the box and the gold has not shifted. I just rinsed them each night.
