Anna Necklace

Most chains leave me with an itchy red line by the end of a workday. I braced for the same here and got absolutely nothing. Three months of wearing it every single day, including sleeping and working out in it, and my skin has stayed completely calm. Sweat is usually what triggers me and even hot yoga did not cause a problem. The stones sit flat and do not scratch my collarbone either. It is the only colorful necklace I own that I can genuinely wear around the clock.

I took this necklace to Cozumel expecting to leave it in the hotel safe, and instead it went in the water with me every day. Salt water, boat spray, sunscreen and a rinse-off shower every afternoon for eight days straight. It came home looking exactly like it left. The gold chain has no dull patches and every colored gemstone is still bright and clear, not one has gone milky. Even the little extender chain at the back is as shiny as the front. Four months later I still shower in it daily and it has not changed at all.

The back of my neck is where every plated necklace I own goes wrong first, usually within a month. I have had this one since February and the chain there is still identical to the rest. No dark links, no coppery tone, no thin spots where it rubs my collar. It survives my perfume, my sunscreen and a full summer of sweating through the commute. The colored stones have kept their depth too, no washed out pinks or greens. I have honestly stopped checking it for damage because there never is any.

I have worn it to two weddings and a bridal shower and it worked with every dress. Dressy enough for the photos, comfortable enough to forget about.

I am in chlorine four or five times a week and this necklace comes with me. The colored stones have not gone cloudy and the gold is still even. Genuinely surprised at how well it has held.

It stays straight instead of rolling over on itself, which drives me crazy with thinner chains. Always sitting the right way up. Zero maintenance.
