Anna Bracelet

I ordered the Anna in late February and it has been in the water with me ever since. Ocean swims on the Gulf, chlorine laps three mornings a week, and a hot shower every single night. I have genuinely never taken it off, not once. The gold chain looks identical to the day it arrived and every little colored crystal is still perfectly clear, no clouding at all. Not a single dangle has loosened or dropped off the chain either. I expected to baby a thirty-five dollar bracelet and instead it has out-swum me all spring.

I am rough on plated jewelry, so I gave this one a real trial. It has taken sunscreen, self-tanner, hand lotion, hairspray and about a hundred sweaty gym sessions since I got it in February. The plating has not thinned at the clasp, which is always the first spot to go on my other bracelets. There is no dull patch, no coppery edge, and no dark tone creeping in around the jump rings. My wrist has stayed completely clean too, no marks after a full day. It genuinely still photographs the same warm gold as the product shots. I keep waiting for it to turn and it just refuses.

I react to almost everything with nickel in it, usually within an hour or two. This one I wore for four straight days as a test, through showers and a very sweaty hike, and there was nothing. No redness under the chain, no itching where the charms sit, no bumps at all. I have since worn it daily since March without a single flare-up. What surprised me most is that the sweat and water did not make it worse, which is normally when my skin gives up. Stainless steel underneath really does make the difference. It is the first colorful bracelet I have been able to keep on around the clock.

I leave it on until I'm actually asleep and it never bothers me. No sharp edges catching on a blanket. It's about as low fuss as jewelry gets.

My worry with charm bracelets is losing stones, especially with how much water I get on it. Nothing has come loose in over four months of daily wear and swimming. Every setting is still snug and every color is still vivid.

It arrived in a very simple package with nothing gift-ready about it. Not an issue for me but I had to buy wrapping before passing it on. The piece itself is lovely and I would order again.
