Amor Ring

Bought this in mid-January and have worn it nearly every day since, which is about six months of real life on one ring. The gold has not gone brassy, has not turned coppery at the edges, and has left absolutely no green mark on my finger. Every cheap gold-tone ring I bought before this started showing pink metal underneath within about a month, especially around the band where it rubs. This one still looks uniform all the way around, including the underside. I lined it up next to a ring I bought two years ago and that one has gone dark and dull while this looks brand new. It has honestly changed what I'm willing to spend on gold-tone jewelry.

This ring has been swimming more than I have this year. Our community pool, a hot tub in Sedona, the ocean in Myrtle Beach, plus my shower every single morning since I got it. I never take it off, mostly because I forget it's there until someone points at my hand. There is not a single dull patch or discolored edge on it, and the gold looks exactly as warm as the day it came out of the box. My mom's plated ring went splotchy after one pool weekend, so I know what chlorine normally does. Whatever this plating is, it's holding up far better than anything I've owned.

My skin reacts to almost everything, so I've spent years wearing nothing but a plain gold band from my grandmother. Ordered this expecting the usual red itchy ring within a day. Three weeks later I finally admitted it was fine and started wearing it full time. No itching, no redness, no dry patch, nothing, and that includes the hot humid stretch we had in June when my hands swell. Because the band is adjustable I can also loosen it slightly on those days instead of it pinching, which probably helps. It's the only piece besides that old band I can wear without a second thought.

Smooth rings show every scuff on me, but this texture just absorbs daily life. Bumped it against my desk, a car door, and a cast iron pan and you cannot tell. Still looks intentional rather than beat up.

The hammered gold is beautiful and it definitely gets attention. It is a bigger heart than I imagined from the listing photos, so it takes a little confidence to wear. Once I got used to the scale I loved it.

My daughter gave me this for Mother's Day and I have not taken it off since, which for me means gardening, dishes, and showers. Not one thing about it has changed. She was thrilled when I told her ❤️
